BioGuard UAE is the flagship commercial initiative of Premium Health Australia (Pvt) Ltd, established in 2016, operating in collaboration with NanoGuard Premium. The core mission of BioGuard UAE is to make the United Arab Emirates agriculturally self-sufficient through the production and distribution of biochar-enriched bio-fertilizers, bio-pesticides, and carbon credit generation programs that transform the UAE's desert soil into productive, sovereign farmland.

The UAE currently imports over 90% of its food supply. BioGuard UAE has been engineered to directly address this critical national vulnerability by increasing agricultural output within UAE borders, aligned with the UAE Food Security 2050 national strategy and the UAE Net Zero 2050 climate commitment.

​BioGuard Carbon+ Programme

Overview

BioGuard Carbon+ is headquartered in Sharjah, UAE, and represents our commitment to building the UAE's own domestic carbon market. The programme converts rice husks into biochar via smokeless pyrolysis, preventing the re-emission of carbon into the atmosphere. When our biochar-based fertilizers are spread on crops by UAE farmers, the sequestered carbon within the products is buried into the soil where it remains for hundreds of years.

The process generates verified carbon credits that are sold to individuals and businesses looking to lower their carbon footprint and meet UAE Net Zero 2050 compliance requirements. BioGuard Carbon+ is formally addressed to His Highness Sheikh Saoud bin Faisal Al Qassimi, Member of the Ruling Family of Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.

Implementation Plan — Four Phases

Phase 1 — Infrastructure Development (Year 1)

Secure a 2-hectare manufacturing site in Sharjah, UAE. Import and install bio-fertilizer manufacturing equipment sourced from Sri Lanka. Complete installation, commissioning, and operational readiness of the facility. Secure and install a bottling plant to support product packaging and distribution. Begin bio-product manufacturing processes within six months of equipment importation. Conduct detailed market research to identify farmer needs, regional demand, and carbon market dynamics. Total estimated setup cost: $500,000 USD.

Phase 2 — Training, Contracts and Pilot Projects (Year 2)

Initiate and progress negotiations with UAE Agriculture Departments to secure long-term contracts for supplying biochar and bio-fertilizers under farmer-based carbon credit initiatives. Launch pilot projects with selected UAE farmers, providing hands-on training in sustainable agricultural practices and carbon credit registration procedures. Establish technical support systems by deploying agronomists and field officers to support farmer onboarding and implementation.

Phase 3 — Scale, Verify and Certify (Years 2 to 3)

Expand bio-product distribution to a wider farmer base across multiple UAE regions, supported by dedicated logistics and field teams. Implement robust monitoring frameworks to track soil improvement, emissions reduction, and yield outcomes. Engage accredited MRV (Monitoring, Reporting and Verification) agencies to validate carbon credit activities and certify emission reductions for trade eligibility under Verra and Gold Standard.

Phase 4 — Carbon Credit Trading and Revenue Optimisation (Year 3 onwards)

Enter international voluntary and GCC compliance carbon markets with certified carbon credits generated by partnered UAE farmers. Build strategic partnerships with UAE carbon buyers, sustainability funds, and corporate ESG programmes to drive credit demand. Use initial revenue streams to finance Phase 2 expansion and further product development. Projected annual revenue from carbon credit sales: $2 million to $4 million USD.
